Hi,

I have a table cell that contains only the result of some javascript as
its content such as:

<tr>
<td><script type="text/javascript">checkdate("11/11/2011")</script></td>
</tr>

In the wysiwyg editor I copy the existing row, create a new row and
(with the new row selected) past in the content copied, the
<script>...</script> content is not copied along.

Is this a bug?

If this cannot be done in the wysiwyg editor, is there a way to perform
these copy/paste operations in the source editor? I don't seem to be
able to.

Win7 64bit, BG v1.5.1

Thanks much,
-Steve

I don't know if this would meet your need but you can paste html into
a cell using Insert > HTML markup.

Hmmm... seems that menu selection is grayed out (no matter what I have
in my paste buffer). What does it need to become active?

Thanks much,

Double HHmmmmmm … You seem to have the same version of BlueGriffon as
I so I don't understand the problem.
I don't believe Insert > HTML markup should ever be greyed out. When
you click it, a new window 'Insert HTML markup' appears with the text
"Enter HTML markup or text below:" You then enter what you want in the
window and click 'OK'. What you have entered will then be inserted
into the source code at the position of the so-called caret (the
flashing cursor actually). I've entered your code in that way and it
works. I think the technique is intended for use in wysiwyg view but
it actually works both in wysiwyg and source views.
If you are not getting that something strange is going on.

I just deleted my profile and that didn't improve things. In the Source
tab the menu operation Insert->Html Markup is grayed out no matter what
I try. The simplest case would be to create a new document, create some
new content, in the source side copy the <p>something</p> content and
attempt to past it else where (just below the copied content for
instance)... I don't seem to be able to using this menu operation or
otherwise .

In the Wysiwyg tab if I use this menu operation after copying a table
row (a simple one with three cells with just text in each), and then try
pasting over another one using the Insert->Html Markup the Wysiwyg
editor stuffs the text from the paste-buffer into the first cell. Seems
the Wysiwyg side acts as I'd expect it and won't support what I'm after.

What I'm after is the ability to copy and paste markup from one section
to another in the Source editor (whether it contains comments, php,
javascript, styles, etc., shouldn't matter).

Thanks much for the response Charlies!
-Steve

Using cntl-x, cntl-c, and cntl-v work just fine... I started using
cntl-insert (copy), shift-insert (paste), and short-delete (cut) years
ago... guess I start retraining myself now. :)

Thanks Daniel for the feedback on ticket 425, that did the trick!
