Our next meeting is July 8th where we will have Aaron Erickson join us to talk about why F# is a valuable tool to be used in mainstream development. You can read more about the topic and speaker below. Please register for the even if you plan on attending so we know how many to expect. As always I am open to suggestions about making the group succeed. I have already recieved several fantastic suggestions that I will be sharing in July to see what we think. F#: The Business Case
In this session, Aaron Erickson explains why functional programming in general, and F# in particular, are becoming relevant for mainstream application development in the wake of the multi-core revolution in today's CPUs. This talk includes discussion on business cases for F# projects, how to get started using F#, and a primer over the key differences between functional programming using F# and imperative programming using more traditional object oriented languages.
