BLOKES,

 

Words can not explain how very THANKFUL  I am to all of you who showed up yesterday to help out Gay Smith!!!!!   Her art room is now a lovely, bright airy retreat for her while she begins her chemo treatment for bone cancer. 

 

The men are putting in a sidewalk so Gay can get out of the house in her wheelchair and make it to treatment.

 

We have received so many donations in the way of bedding, cleaning supplies, food, etc. I am overwhelmed... but we will still incur costs for the sidewalk.   The chapel has agreed to donate money towards this project and I am sure we will hit up the Blokes and the Blosoms... but if you wish to help off set the costs of the concrete please make a tax deductible donation to the chapel and reference Gay Smith (these checks may be placed in Marcie Z.'s mailbox - the chapel treasurer -- or in my mailbox - as I am on the chapel board)

 

There were over 40 people who got involved in the project within 48 hours!!!!!!!!!!  Truly Unbelievable and truly an amazing home-makeover!

 

Last minute items that are needed include

--a bathroom rug & toilet cover (pink or neutral)

---fresh clothes for Gay that will be easy for her to get in and out of (think snaps and buttons, elastic pants)

--a boom box that plays both Tape cassettes and CDs

--bird food w/hot pepper in it to keep the squirrels away.

----- I will keep you all posted on any future needs for food.. as I am sure the fridge will empty out one day down the road. 

 

AGAIN -- THANK YOU ALLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
