I too have seen this message intermittently on some of my blogger sites; I chalked it up to a GoDaddy issue, but people have reported the same issue with *.blogspot.com sites as well.

As highlighted by others, it happens very very rarely. I have Pingdom and Google Doc script to test the uptime of my site and sometimes, they show a downtime of less than 1 minute with 503 as error code.

I have come across this error sometimes too for my blog Stylify Your Blog<http://www.stylifyyourblog.com/>,but on a page refresh the content is displayed correctly. I have my blog monitored by Pingdom and in a recent report it suggested that the site was down for 15mins. I am including the screenshot below

I too have been experiencing a rash of Error 503's on my blog (news.cygnus-x1.net). At first, I thought it was associated with my site specifically, and not blogger, but then I noticed the same error popping up on my friend's blog (news.2112.net) so I knew it had to be blogger related.
Over the past week, I've gotten the error at least half a dozen times - per day. Doing a refresh usually works, but not always on the first try.

All day today I am getting BLOGGER SERVICE UNAVAILABLE 503 Error Codes when I try to update any sidebar widgets on any of my blogs. It is a real pain because I have copied new HTML into there, hit SAVE and POOF there goes my work. If and when it does happen to "accept" changes then the changes are taking 15 minutes lag time to show up. Is there an ongoing issue? I am using Firefox and Windows 7

We had an issue with 503's up until yesterday. If I'm reading that screenshot correctly, the Google Webmaster Tool is reporting 503's from over the weekend, correct?

I have pingdom and a Google Docs script to monitor the uptime of my site and the 503 errors are being returned even today. to be precise, I just got a 503 error downtime, 4 minutes ago. Just to add, the frequency of downtime is very high.
I have all the downtime and uptime report stored in a Google Doc which is powered by a custom script, if you want I can share the same with you.
