My blog at blogger has been hacked by podz at wordpress. I had a
disagreement with him at wordpress.com and now my blogger blog is down
and there is a link going to wordpress.com saying come use a better
blogging tool.

I would like blogger to do more about this than just take the blog
down.

Yikes!  I know podz, a bit...I'm very surprised.  What was disagreement
about?  How about posting entire issue in Forum > SUPPORT?  --Including
the hack.  Maybe drmike can make suggestion, pass on a message?

I'd like to know what happens/outcome.  Will you come back and post
up-date?

You were given gifts, finite amount of time on the planet.  You were
NOT given those to Prey on others.  You have a LOT of work to do.  Get
to it.

Looking for business? By having my blog taken offline? preying on
others? What are you even talking about?

Anyway, I found this answer in a forum. When you export files to
wordpress, that is the message that is put on your blogger blog. It
doesn't tell you at wordpress.com that it is going to do this. It just
does it.

This was the answer given on another forum since blogger support won't
answer this question. Maybe it will help someone else who thinks about
moving content from blogger to wordpress.com

You used an tool to import your blog posts from BLOGGER to WORDPRESS,

After you had a message on your site with your blog's description THEN
the message "It is temporarily out of service. Please try again in a
few minutes. Meanwhile, discover a better blogging tool.

Is that correct?????

I may be going out on a limb here but, when you give a tool access to
your blog posts, it also has access to your template, which I would
suspect is what the import tool did (it probably ASSUMES that you are
actually moving your blog, and adds that message to the
template)...there probably should be a warning on the import procedure
somewhere that that will happen. Or maybe it's does that during the
import procedure and is supposed to replace it back afterwords I
dunno...but it's obvious that it was the import tool that did
it...right? It wasn't HACKED, you gave 'em permission.

Funny how things work around in circles sometimes.

I say that because that was MY answer I gave in another forum that you
found. :-) I remember it well.

And the guy I informed then was mad at ME for telling him that ! Told
me I was an idiot or something, and he was the guy with the problem.

And yes the Blogger to Wordpress import procedure changes some settings
on your blog and changes the template for it to create the file
Wordpress needs to import. Whether it's supposed to change everything
back on it's own when it's done and sometimes doesn't I don't know.

It''s not the kind of activity that would ever make me feel one
blogging enterprise was better than the other.  Both seem like creeps
to me.

Poppy, you are just an idiot. There was no spam being done. A company
blog that links back to the company is not spam. I already posted I
realize now that podz did not do it and that my assumption was wrong.

However when you have an argument with someone who works for a
particular company then find your blog gone and a link now pointing to
that company its easy to think something bad happened.

As far as you are concerned, I don't even know you. You accuse people
of spamming without knowing them. I doubt you have even looked up my
websites or the things I have done on the web. You might want to do
that first.

I jumped before thinking and now you are doing the same. That makes you
smarter or better how?

I'm not going to spend more time with your accusations or your need to
argue with people. Maybe you have nothing better to do. I don't know
and don't care.

I moved off of all free blogging websites onto domain names. Reason. I
create the tos on my domain names. What I do or don't do is none of
your business.
