I wish to have a blog in Blogger and post anonymously. I also wish to
receive comments from users, and be able to post anonymously. I wish
to do this secretly while keeping my current Google Account.
I just discovered that if a Blogger user that wishes to remain
anonymous enables comments, his identity is compromised -- even if you
prevent your name from showing using Layouts, and even if you use the
embedded comments form in the current layout.
An anonymous reader only needs to go to the post page, get the blogId,
the postID, fill the following URL
https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=##############&postID=######...
And you get the Full Page version of the comments form with the 'Show/
Hide Original Post' containing a text signature with the display name
('posted by nickname'). Google the 'nickname' and -- if it's rather
popular -- you get a Blogger Profile page.
By publishing this here, I hope Blogger Draft Developers can bring
additional functionality to shy Bloggers that wish to rant and retain
the same Google Account while selectively writing anonymously in some
blogs.
I think this can easily be fixed by disallowing Full Page views if
another Comment Form Placement option is used.
P.S. Also, from the Blog Feed you can get who the Author is (Display
Name and email). You can prevent emails from showing by changing that
option while editing the Blogger Profile, but the Display Name still
shows even if you use Feed Burner's SmartCast... It will show inside
an element called

P.P.S. I know that all this can be avoided by disabling feeds and
comments, but I really wish to keep those enabled.
