Has anyone else had this problem? I can publish on my own blog. I can leave comments on my own blog. But if I try to leave comments on someone else's blog, it makes me attempt to login again, but never works. I keep getting an error message that says it can't log me in right now, or to check my password.
UPDATE - I found an alternative. I created this Gmail account so I could post this question. I happened to use the same nickname on these help boards as I do on my blog. So I tried logging in on the comment page with my Gmail address. And lo and behold, it worked. It now posts my comments as "TWORIVERSWALRUS." Of course the only problem is that if people were to click on my name, it no longer takes them to my profile - and thus, my own blog.

ive been having the same problem. i can comment on old atyle blog with no issues, but when i try to comment on a betablog then it wont let me and i get the same message mentioned above. i hope this is sorted soon, or people will think im ignoring them!

I do NOT have a Beta Blogger account on this computer (though I do have a Google account). I did briefly see a notice "You can't comment here because you aren't signed in", but that went away, and I was able to comment and I didn't even have to solve a captcha.
I think that you have some security protection that's blocking your commenting. If it's the same problem preventing your wife from leaving comments (same blog, or different blog?), I can see 2 scenarios. 1) Since both computers are on the same LAN, maybe your NAT router has a filter. 2) Since both computers are in the same family, maybe some software that is common to the two of you is causing a problem.
Beyond that, we don't know a lot do we? 1) Try a third computer, preferably off premises and not owned by you. 2) Is either computer portable? Try it on a public network. 3) Try a computer at the library. Or maybe Circuit City or another computer store, that will give you Internet access.
Thanks for the info. For the record, it is in fact two separate computers. One was at work. The other was at my home. There is absolutely no connection between the two. And as for my wife, she too had the same problem - not being able to comment on ANY blogs.

Hi there. I've been having this problem for around 24 hours now. My blog is on the Classic version and I cannot leave comments as myself on Beta blogs.
However, I can comment as "Anonymous," so that's what I've been doing. I've just had to keep remembering to add my name so folks know who has commented.
The problem still exists today. It's hit-or-miss. For a brief time last night, I was able to comment. Today - nothing.
Based on other threads in this forum, it appears as if this problem is happening all over. Some have already said they are going to write blogger.com to get the problem fixed. Hopefully they will do that.
Sorry I'm late to respond to this problem. You guys have unfortunately found a bug in Blogger in beta. We're already working on a fix that we hope to push out soon. Until then, there's a workaround that is explained on our Known Issues blog:
