Ok, searching through found a topic similar to this back in october,
but no resolution for it.  Whenever I try to publish, I get this
error:

java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out

It's not my server from what I can determine because I can log in and
FTP to that all day.  I haven't changed any settings anywhere and it
was working just fine yesterday.  Right now, it keeps reloading the
page, I guess in hopes that it'll connect, but it's been doing that
for 20 minutes, so no luck so far.

We have one other such report.  Possibly not a coincidence.

It started between 10 and 2pm EST for me.  Nothing wrong on my server
end.

Glad I'm not the only one with this issue.

Same problem here. Getting a 403 forbidden error message:

The requested URL (I've taken the URL out) was not found on this
server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to
use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

But the post shows as published in my list of posts - if i go to
delete the post, i see the full copy display (edit) before I'm asked
to confirm the deletion, but clicking the (view) button shows the
error.

I have the same issue since 12/23. It seemed to fix itself on 12/26
but that was just for one post. Now it's back with a vengeance. I
agree it's on blogger's end as I too connect with ftp and no problems.
Assume a lot of staff is out for the holiday so I don't expect this to
be fixed soon.

I have two blogs, both published to the same server but different
domains. One blog is fine, the other fails to publish.

msgs when trying to access gmail with my mobile phone. Can only get
mail thru the web portal.

Hey folks,

Thanks for hanging in there during this busy time; we're aware of this
and still working through some kinks on our side.

I'll make sure to post an update when we have one!

This has now been fixed.  I am really sorry for the inconvenience.
The problem should not recur in the short-term, and we will work to
ensure that we are far less likely to have this kind of problem in the
long-term.
