Subject: blog posting from Sony Ericsson K800i into draft folder
I want to set up my blog so that anything I send from my mobile -
either a photo or text - is saved as a draft post in my blog. I have
been able to do that successfully for 'email to blog', but a recent
test with my phone sent a photo straight into view on the public blog.
How do I set it to send to draft from my mobile?

Thanks

Unless there is a check box for your mobile settings on go.blogger.com
or wherever you accepted the token and set things up, it is destined
to be published. You might be able to do it if you have actual
internet access from your phone to just use the mailtoblogger address
rather than the go email address or the blog this.

Thanks - I'll see if I can do that. I think I read somewhere that it
is theoretically possible, but maybe I'm hallucinating blogging
instructions; it's been a long day :-)

I'm having the exact same problem however I have a Sony Ericsson
W880i. Everything has been working fine until now, when I blog a
picture from my phone it shows up as a draft and I have to open it and
then publish it to make it show up on the blog.

Any idea of what could be causing this problem?

I tried to delete my phone from the control panel and posting from the
phone so that a new blog was created. That was working fine and then I
merged that with my real blog and after that the problem occurs again.

Martin, I think your problem is exactly the opposite of the OP. He
wants his messages to go to drafts first rather than publish....wow.

I am not sure what would be causing your phone to not go to publish
right away since that is how the system is set up. Are you just using
the go email address or are you using the blog this option?

Sorry, my bad. I don't know what I was thinking about when I read his
post :)

I am using the blog this option.

Have you tried the go email to see if that goes right to post?

I live in Sweden so that service does not work for me, I've tried it
several times before but I get an error message bounced back saying
(I'm not sure exactly what it said because it's been a while since the
last time) that my ISP is not allowed to use this service..or
something like that.

Okay, you are right, that would be an issue. Have you tried using the
mail to blogger (or do you not have the email at all because of the
location)?

No I have not tried that. I just can't understand why it suddenly
stopped working. It has been working for over a year now.
Do you have any system logs that you can check to see if there's
something wrong that happens when I try to publish a post from my
phone?

Let me see if I can get someone from Blogger to look at this. In the
meantime, you might try resetting your mobile settings....for some
reason your issues seem to coincide with the server outage last
weekend and while it probably is not related...it might be worth a
check to make sure you don't just need to refresh all the settings.
