Subject: IE issues with my blog
My blog is at http://dfwdraco76.blogspot.com.

Screenshots of the issue I'm posting about can be seen at
http://dfwdraco76.blogspot.com/2006/02/mucked-up-in-ie.html

Some discussion of the problem has already taken place at
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,15494277#15496469

Basically my blog looks all screwy in Internet Explorer, but appears
just fine in Firefox (my browser of choice).  There were some
tickerfactory.com images that we suspected were causing the problem
(too wide), so I removed them and things were fine for a few minutes; I
made another post or two last night and then discovered it had started
again.  Somebody suggested it might be a problem with the blockquote,
so I removed that, but it's still not right.

I know just enought about HTML to be dangerous...  I learned some basic
stuff back in '95 or so, but really haven't advanced past those basic
tags and features.  So if anybody has an idea what may be
happening--I'd really appreciate your help!!

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian - I was having the same issue & well, I came across this site:
http://www.positioniseverything.net & it solved the problem!!

All I did was edit my template #menu width (made it smaller &
republished index, then viewed it in IE & it worked)

Good Luck, hope this helped!

Thanks...  Can you give me an idea where I'd find something there?
There's lots of info on htat site and I have no idea where to go!

With the help of some folks at dslreports.com I've shortened some
lengthy URLs and now the problem is gone; but I'd rather not have to
check URL length or image width every time I post.

Well, whatever you did with the URL/picture size worked for the time
being.. If you run into a problem again - try this - When you're signed
into blogger, go to template & scroll down just a bit.. you'll see it
says "Blogger Template Style" then body, "Page Structure", #content,
#main. width:485px; (you can change the width say to 300 (or whatever -
play around with it in preview & see how you like it).  Remember you
can mess around with the html, preview it & not save/publish the
changes until you're ready.  Good Luck!
