I can FTP into my web-server just fine, but blogger isn't publishing to it properly...the credentials are entered correctly...it was working fine this morning, and suddenly decided to stop working this afternoon. Could someone look into this?
I concur and confirm. FTP publishing is indeed dead as of 20:01 eastern time. It just sits there and spins "your publish is taking longer than expected"
FTP breaks pretty regularly with Blogger or works at a snail's pace. I have a very fast FTP site so it's not on my end. FTP is an afterthought to them sometimes.
I'll ditto what darsys said. Just died on me about 45 minutes ago, but was working fine yesterday. I can access my FTP accounts successfully by other means, just not via Blogger as of this afternoon.
And yet another note to say that FTP publishing is also broken for me -- it hasn't worked since at least 2pm PDT. I don't have any issues with my site's FTP server when accessing it by other means.
Like others, I've tried changing the FTP account used for publishing. When republishing after changing the setting, Blogger uploaded a few files successfully but then decided to quit.

I have found that nothing after July 29 will post and that's the date I signed up for that site. I have tried to remove their javascript from my template, and I have, but it won't go away on older posts.
I checked my FTP files and all of my archives were updated on July 29. I think blogcatalog has corrupted all of my files.
I still can't publish, but I think they are the main culprit.
Trying desperately to get rid of their bad javascript.
i think that that might be a separate issue for you. that is, at least, i've not signed up at blogcatalog. everything via blogger was working fine for me until this afternoon (in other words, i could post yesterday).

I agree that any problem you might be having with newly added bits from someone else is a different issue.
The broken FTP service seems to be entirely a Blogger issue.
I've never heard of the outfit you mention and have never added anything from them. In fact, nothing has changed on my site since the last successful post.
Yes, ftp publishing appears to be broken. I can log into my FTP server manually just fine. As someone else said, blogger just sits and spins without successfully publishing anything. It worked this afternoon for me at 1:24 EDT. It didn't work for me at 8:20 pm EDT. When it broke in between there, I don't know.
FTP is broken for me as well. Thanks to the rest of you for confirming this. Hope that blogger status posts something to let everyone know before people start screwing around with their settings.

Google's customer service is abhorent. These treads are full of issues that are never resoolved. They certainly can rake in the dough, but fix something? Now, that's a problem. We don't really matter to them. All that matters is how much money they can rake in every day.
A company serious about their reputation - rather than becoming a monopoly - would at least have had a rep responding to this and other issues too numerous to mention.
It's a sign of our times. All about the money. Sad.
