Right, for the past week -10 days Blogger has not wanted to Load. Or it has loaded and then hung, or it has loaded and taken ages for the page to load properly. Then you go to publish a new post - Same problem, and when you do actually get to write your new post, the publish feature doesnt work as it says it could not connect with Blogger!!
The internet connection from the PC I am using is fine, no problems with other sites, so it cannot be from this end!!
Is anyone else haveing problems and if so, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO BE FIXED?!
Yes, and I don't know anyone NOT having a problem with Blogger and BlogSpot for the last 10 or more days. And then before that... and then before that and...
AND, if I ever find the person who maintains the HELP and STATUS areas, there will be a dustup!
This is easily the most unacceptable service I have ever encountered. To think that Google just lets these Blogger techs get customers so bunched and pissed that they can't see straight, just boggles the mind.
The only reason to even stick around is for the entertainment value of watching the mess unfold. But please, go to the HELP area and see for yourself if there is anything resembling professionalism at work. Then never ever hire anyone that ever worked at Blogger.

My blogspot page loads, but I cannot get to www.blogger.com to post anything. Yesterday thre was a message saying that the engineers were looking into the problem. Now it just says that the page cannot be found. Did the domain name get hijacked or something??? It is highly annoying.
I've been trying to log on for nearly fifteen minutes (it's now about 11:25 a.m. Pacific), and can't even bring up the Blogger.com front page.
If the wonderful folks at Blogger.com are running back-ups during the day, could they at least let us know? I'd rather go to a pay service than get shut out like this virtually every day.
(By the way, Bloggerheads, could you do anything to [a] update your status page BEFORE you have a self-created problem, and/or [b] have somebody monitor this newsgroup on occasion to see when there is a problem that you don't know about yet? Thank you!)

Just think, you could have come from Modblog like I did. Compared to that pit of uselessness, Blogger is a dream
I wasn't aware that blogger was having any problems as I could post, display and for a while log on the dashboard page this morning.
I haven't been having any problems with blogger....until an hour ago when I went edit my blog template.
Little did I realize that after making a very minor change and saved it without preview (I know, I know -stupid) that blogger didn't originally load my entire template before editing.
The partial template I saved blew my blog away. Got it partially working again and then discovered that I couldn't log into blogger anymore.
Went searching for answers and that's when I found you guys.
I've had it. Two weeks of problems and I'm frustrated beyond belief. Pictures are missing and I can't post a damned thing. It's either connection reset, server down/busy or hang time from 0% to 0%. All the time and effort I put into my blog is just wasted without the ability to do timely updates and new posts. I'm losing credibility on the fast-paced internet with each day I'm stuck behind this wall of technological incompetence. If there's been a hack I'd like to know about it. If there's a technical problem of some kind that CAN'T be fixed, I'd like to know about it. There are other options and I'd like to explore them if blogger is going to remain unreliable. I can make myself look stupid without blogger's help. PLEASE, somebody at least tell us what's going on! Is this the NSA hack we've all dreaded?

Amen. This forum is endorsed by Blogger. Being a Google division, that is a perfectly natural relationship to form. But, after the endorsement, why don't they use this forum to interact with their users and customers? Why don't they inform people here about what's going on? Just a little tidbit. For a company whose business is facilitating communication, this would seem to be a very obvious extension.
Ok so I won't list them all. Anyway spreadsheets are much more important.
I'm going to stop blogging and stard spreadsheeting immediately. You've got to go with the flow people. If there are gremlins in the servers for blogger then go add up some numbers, sort alphabetically, maybe even try an online pivot table or lookup with an online spreadsheet.
Too many of us quit our day jobs as accountants and started blogging.
This is just Google's wake up call to get us back to work!
:)
Thanks, Brett
PS. That was just a satyrical rant, more for my benefit than anything else. Can't wait to get my blogging fix for the day. When are the servers going to be back online???!!!
This is really fucking ridiculous. Day after day after day. Is anyone trying any alternatives? I have almost 2 years on Blogger, and hate to move. But I cannot continue with this.
I belong to a message board with over 30,000 registered users and funny enough, yesterday someone was asking about blog servers. Every single response about Blogger was how bad it is and how much worse it is getting. I'm giving it one more week before I completely dump Blogger as my host and find someone else. This has to be the worst service, paid for or not, that I have encountered. Blogger obviously doesn't give a crap about us or their reputation. My guess is that they lost a lot of potential users yesterday when my message board slammed them. Keep it up Blogger.
Its possible and feasible, but it can have its own technical challenges when you start trying to port a blog over from one spot to the next.
look before you leap, and if you start fresh its probably easier, but time spent generating readers, traffic and letting them know where you are is a challenge.
You all know don't you that the folk at Blogger really don't care whether or not you are satisfied with their service. As long as they can rake in millions, play pool at work, sit in big screen tv rooms and do video games, they don't give a flaming rats rip whether you or I or anyone can post.
And their "help" and "status" pages are nothing but a joke. There's not a single email address anywhere on their pages you can actually use to contact them (and if there is, its nicely hidden); and they simply, apparently, don't want you to contact them anyway.
It really is tragic because its just another example of American indifference to customer service. When the country is bankrupt and has to receive foreign aid in a few years maybe folk will wake up and do their jobs. But of course then it will be too late.
Okay, since we're on our own apparently let's see if we can do some troubleshooting. It's not firefox or IE...same on both. Some posters with their own servers have the same problems with their blogspots. Any Mac users here? Got problems too? (PC here) I have gmail and it still works...a Google problem or not? It's not our photo accounts...pics won't load no matter what the source. Is there a particular time frame? For me it's all the time for the last two weeks. A particular type of blog? Mine's political/humor. A particular ISP? A particular part of the country? World? CA here. What other questions can we ask to figure it out for ourselves...do we need to bring in our own techies?
