I haven't been able to publish accurately for 24 hours. Last night I made a post and tried 4 times to add an image and it wouldn't add, just kept timing out. When I tried to publish it without the image, it kept timing out. When I viewed the posts area, it looked as though the post had published, but I couldn't see it live, no matter what browser or computer I tried. So I gave up. This morning the post I couldn't see last night WAS visible. So I tried to make another post this afternoon and experienced exactly the same problem as last night. I still can't see my latest post. What gives? WordPress is looking pretty good right now.
Just realized I didn't post my URL. It's http://www.searchenginecollege.com/blog.htm. I'm using FTP to publish and I don't get specific error codes, just "your publish is taking longer than expected, to wait click here". Thanks

....that I can't get rid of, because it doesn't show up in the list of published....or drafted.....or anything....posts for me to delete.....because its already gone!

I'm also getting the "Your publish is taking longer than expected. To continue waiting for it to finish, click here" message every time I attempt to post a new entry. My 2Dolphins is a Classic Blogger blog that I've hosted on my own space & domain name for more than 5 years.
I've verified that I can successfully transfer via WS_FTP Pro software, so this is NOT an issue with my host. Blogger's FTP publishing seems to be in a death spiral!
This situation is deteriorating Google. I have downloaded Wordpress and I shall investigate this option fully on the weekend. Please rectify this problem.
I've just sent this message to Blogger via this link ( http://help.blogger.com/?page=contact ). I encourage more users to express their minds (respectfully). Maybe someone on the other end will listen.

Hello,
I don't mean this as a threat, but it is a serious problem you need to consider. We FTP users are finding ourselves unable to publish to our blogs. If you expect us to stay -- if you want us to credit our use of Blogger, much less encourage others to use it (which, ironically, I was doing earlier today and now am wondering if that was such a good idea) -- you need to provide quality service. I thought a merger with Google would push us further in that direction. So far, I have been sadly, sadly mistaken and disappointed. I have never had so many issues! And I'm not the only one. The Blogger help group is a great resource, but the fact that there are SO many posts, SO many people with problems, should say something to you.
Speaking of saying something to you, it's extremely difficult to locate a "contact us" form, email, or venue of any sort. That's another problem.
I've been with Blogger for about 10 years now. I'd like to make it to another milestone like that. I'm sorry to say that at this rate, I won't make it another year.
I hope you will take my words, and my hopes, seriously. That you will listen to us, the people who support you, and who want to continue supporting you. And I hope that you will address our issues.

Add me to the list of blogs unable to get material up on my blog. It sometimes will publish, but about as often as I might hit a Josh Beckett fastball.
I'm about to kiss off Blogger, after more than five years. This is the third time in three months.

I can't post eitrher to my site www.savethemiddleclass.com. This has been going on for days and I suddenly had spam comments as well. If you switch to WordPress will you lose all your old posts?

I have also not been able to publish several times lately same issue. I tried to submit a complaint/comment using the link you suggested but just seem to get reasons why the errors commonly occur which does not help at all. I also need my blog entries to be reliable as customers check the status of their portraits through my blog and I can not update for them so I may have to switch as well. I thought it was just my blog so at least I am happy(?) to find out that it is a known issue, now hopefully it will get addressed ;)

There are 2 other threads, Taking its sweet time and Ditto on the no publishing no error message are reporting the same problems. Would love to merge the 3, then maybe someone at Blogger would notice.
I just hope someone from blogger reports something soon.
