For about 10 day I've been stuck with "broken pipe" errors. The main page won't republish, though the June archive updates. I know more now at least about what isn't the problem:
It isn't cookies, cache or browser-specific. I've logged out and back in many times, and there's no change.
It isn't my IP. I've changed it, and used another computer.
It isn't javascript. (I'd read it could break pipes.) I've deleted it.
It isn't my connectivity or my blog's template. I also have an empty blog I hadn't published, and I copied the template to it and posted without a problem.
So, the problem seems specific to my blog and not to my connection, but not determined by its content or settings. Is it possible it is stuck on a bum sector of a bad Blogger server? How can I tell if my server changes after I log out and back in?
You can at least republish only the main index page... (Republish Index button) Blogger has some serious service problems in the past couple of days. But it seems to be back to normal. Other than that, I'd contact Blogger support.
Thanks for the reply. I can't republish the index, either. It times out also.
I've been contacting Blogger support daily without any luck. Now it's back for most users maybe they'll have time for this. (Though I'm not encouraged that they don't provide a ticket number.)
I suspect this is the case. I can't imagine how many thousands of emails they got from angry bloggers about the recent service disruption... At least you should be able to save any new material as draft and publish when this is resolved...

There was no ticket number in the subject of the botmail I received from filling out the help form (it was simply "Re: unable to post"), and I haven't received one from subsequent emails.

How charming. Now they don't want to even LOOK like they pay attention to the Help reports. Looks like I have more writing to do.

Thanks very much, Chuck, I deeply appreciate that.
There was no ticket number in the subject of the botmail I just received either ~ mine, back from filling out the help form was simply "Re: will not upload pictures on Blog Spot."
