I can appreciate the efforts that Blogger has taken to bring down
these truly awful "spam" blogs that steal content from sites like mine
and use an aggregator to automatically create their own content while
post a bunch of ads around it. This is despicable behavior and indeed
should be stopped.
But on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, my popular health and weight loss blog
called "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb" (http://
livinlavidalocarb.blogspot.com) was identified by the Blogger robots
as one of these "spam" blogs and I have not been able to post anything
new in five days. Keep in mind that I blog every single day, several
times a day...so, needless to say, I'm discouraged and my readers are
scratching their heads wondering what happened to me.
If my blog was new, I could understand the concern by Blogger. But
I'll be celebrating my third blogiversary on Monday with over 3
million pageviews in that period of time, so I would consider my blog
a veteran blog that shouldn't be put through this kind of needless
scrutiny. Again, I sympathize with the problem of "spam" blogs, but
penalizing the people who are creating quality content by preventing
them from posting for days on end with no communication is NOT the way
to handle it.
Blogger, please do something about your system by having a speedier
response to those of us who are wrongfully targeted as a "spam" blog
when indeed we are not. THANK YOU!
I agree this is just wrong...if they are going to shut down this many
blogs on a computer's say so...they need to be ready to IMMEDIATELY
correct those who follow the correct notification procedures. All
they have to do is take a quick look...and I don't except the excuse
that it takes man power to do it. If they are going to make a sweep
like this they need to be ready to reinstate those blogs that are not
spam immediately upon being notified. I've NEVER heard of such a
gross abuse of trust.
They need to at least take a look at a blog before shutting it down. I
can't believe they did this. I'm just boiling mad...and to compound
things as usual in this computer age...you can't even talk to a
person!!!!

I have read this blog for several months now. Jimmy's site is a
valuable resource for those of us trying to change
our lifestyle to one that will improve our health. It's a shame that
someone has lead you to believe it is
spam. I think that his site and others that offer good advice are
being targeted because his "audience"
are desperate for ideas to help them. So unscrupulous people are
scamming bits to attract readers to other
sites. Please unlock Jimmy's site. Thanks for your kind attention.

Please take a look at Jimmy Moore's "Livin' La Vida Low Carb" Blog! I
think we all understand the type of blog you're trying to prevent, but
having such an influential, inspirational, informational blog offline
for over a week is frustrating for not only the Blogger himself, but
also for his many fans. Jimmy Moore's blog is NOT the type of blog
you're trying to screen for, which will become obvious as soon as
someone from Blogger takes the time to look at his site. I hope you
will soon be rectifying this problem!
I want my Jimmy Moore! I read him every day, and he is the inspiration
of many, many people! Please, please, get his blog back up and
running! I need him!

Jimmy's blog is not spam. Google should, as a common sense practice,
review blogs that are rated as spam instead of relying on a computer's
"word" for it. Computers are fallible! This is just wrong. I look
to Livin' La Vida Low Carb as a source of objective information and
research on low carb eating plans and it is unbelievable that Google
would simply let this continue. Unacceptable, Google. Get a clue.

Dear Google Blog Human Monitors,
Please hurry and reinstate Jimmy Moore's Blog. I have read it every
day for almost 3 years and it is absolutely NOT a spam site! Jimmy is
doing a great service to a very underserved group of people. Without
his research and contacts most of us would still be laboring under
many misconceptions about Low Carb Living. We need this blog
operational.
Sincerely,
The Soapmaker
To the powers that be Livin la vida Low-carb is not spam and needs to
be unlocked it's within your best interest to unlock it. Look at all
the people who read his blog!
I have been reading Jimmy's site regularly for two years. He has
never, ever spammed me or sent me a single unwarranted message in that
time to myself or anyone that I ever heard of. It is an extremely
popular blog, frequented and supported by increasing numbers of
licensed medical professionals as well as laypersons. His forum was
subject to a very aggressive hacker attack, along with the identity
theft of his paypal and bank accounts this past week. This may have
been instigated by industries he criticizes, and was reported to the
FBI. It is very possible that Bloggers' own system was hacked as well,
as this was a sophisticated, coordinated and widespread multiple-site
attack. I implore you to re-instate his site in good faith. Kevin M.
Livin la Vida Low Carb is not a spam blog. This is an informative
blog that I and thousands of other visit daily for support and
advice. Please unlock JImmy's blog as soon as possible.
