The SharePoint developer is responsible for understanding the SharePoint
technology stack from the perspective of designing creating and deploying
custom solutions on SharePoint 2007/2010 using Microsoft best practices.
The developer:
· will have significant experience in .Net technologies and the
integration of these technologies on SharePoint 2007/2010.
· will have experience creating, revising, packaging, deploying and
maintaining complex solutions and customizations including master pages,
themes, and styles.
· will understand and have experience with troubleshooting,
debugging, and revising code and solutions, including solutions created by
others.
· should have experience with upgrading .Net solutions from 32bit
to 64bit or from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 and/or migrating sites
with customizations.
· is able to interpret and communicate the actual technical
processes and methods to revise or re-create existing solutions on SP 2007,
to better solution on SP 2010, while preserving the current functionality.
· is able to provide source estimates for work planed based on the
review of a list of requirements with at least 60-70% accuracy.
· works and communicates effectively with others to ascertain
relevant information and artifacts from team members, customers, and source
code repositories (like Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server) to perform work
assigned.
