I am looking for a client that I can blog with offline. Microsoft Word 2010
came to mind but it does not support tags and I am unable to set categories.
I did a quick search of the archives and saw a reference to post2blog or
something like that. The editor does not seem to be developed so that option
is out. Does anyone have any suggestions?
My blog is hosted on wordpress.com. It is at

Dear Pranav,
How about Windows Live Writer? As far as I know, it works well with
WP, but I don't know how accessible it is. Give it a try and let us
know how you get along,
good luck,

I have got stuck at the first step of windos live writer 2011. I cannot
select the components to install. I do not want everything that is available
in windows live essentials. The component selection screen does not tell me
what is checked and unchecked.
Oh well, time to find a working pair of eye balls unless anyone has any
ideas?

1. Post2blog is no longer being developped and the only place I can download
it is from cnet. I will try it but I would like to use a product that is
being maintained.
2. I could use e-mail but I see no way of specifying categories. I can
specify tags in the subject line of e-mail.

I will drop a line to Microsoft and wait. In the meantime, I will explore
other options.
