Tagging images on wordpress and exporting my blog

Hi all,


I have a blog hosted on wordpress.com. When I used to upload images, I would
get a page where I could add alternative text to the image link and paste
that into my post. I no longer see that screen. I can upload an image but it
goes directly into the post and there is no link that I can edit to add alt
tags. I now have to go to the media gallery and add tags from there.
However, I do not see a way of inserting the link of the image into the
post. What can I do?


I am willing to take the blog off wordpress.com and host it myself but that
is my last option. The biggest problem with that option is that exporting
the blog does not appear to be possible since the export option has gone
from the tools page or am I missing it due to a screen reader strangeness? I
am using Jaws 13.
