Subject: About the numbers on the pie chart
Hi all,

as a beginner of blast2go program, I have a question about the numbers
showing on the pie chart.

Do they stand for the percentage of the genes/ proteins inside the
whole annotated genes/ proteins, or for the number of the genes
classified to this GO group??

For the analysis I did, the results are really confusing. I analyzed
only 4 genes, and in the localization GO group, it is showing 2.33%
when I put the mouse on the pie piece while showing 2 in the
parentheses after the GO name, could anyone tell me what does this
number mean? It would not make sense if it stands for the percentage,
cause 4 genes * 2.33% = 0.0932 gene....

Could anyone help me out?

Thanks and have a nice day.

John

Since someone got the same problem, the answer I got from Stefan is
quoted here.

"Dear John,
it means 2 sequences are annotated with this GO terms and then comes a
comma and a white-space and then it gives the percentage in the pie:
33%.
Regards,
Stefan
