Subject: When Spotlight finds something in a PDF

Hi,

I don't know the requisite information to properly add a "secret," so
I hope that someone with higher knowledge will read this and share it
with the Secrets community.

I found the idea here:

"The new Spotlight feature in Tiger does a great job at searching the
contents of PDF files. Clicking on the result will open the file in
Preview, starting at the first reference. However, the default zoom is
so large that the context containing the reference is lost without
manually zooming out."

The default zoom factor is 28x.  Further down the page, someone else
submitted the Terminal command:

defaults write com.apple.Preview Preview -dict-add
PVPDFSpotlightSelectionSize 1

Now a PDF is opened at "fit to window" scale.  I hope this is
helpful.  Thanks!

Yours,
Tim.
