I'm new to Quicksilver and am trying it because of "Quicksilver has a
clipboard plugin as well which works flawlessly. Can all this apps be
disabled in certain applications?"

First, try clearing Quicksilver's caches<[link]>.
If that doesn't work, next try the troubleshooting process described in the
FAQ's section on backing up and resetting your Quicksilver settings<[link]>

If I select Current Selection ⇥ Find With… ⇥ Google Search QS crashes
sometimes, see attached report.

Current Selection works pretty well. It’s Finder Selection that can be unreliable (which Current Selection sometimes refers to).

If I understand your question correctly, I can't check it, since QS seems
unable to grab current selection

I did now, but it didn't change anything
AFAIR Current Selection is somewhat buggy.
Ouch. I'm so used to it...

If you select Web Searches (Simple), do you see a number (25) to the left
of its check box?
If you open the info pane and select Contents, is it populated?
Do other web searches work in QS main inteface?
Did you completely delete the cache<[link]>when reinstalling?

Hi folks,
I have been using Quicksilver for years now and this is the first time I've
stumbled over something. For some reason I cannot "Open" Android Studio
from Quicksilver. I can launch it by double-clicking in Finder, but not
from Quicksilver.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Another thing I've noticed: Looks like it's Current Selection that doesn't
work. When I change trigger to Current Selection -> Large Type, it doesn't
work. If I set Current URL (Chrome) -> Large Type, it works.

No, "Rescan catalog" didn't help.
I have two Web Searches (Simple) and Web Searches (Full list), and Full
list is unchecked. I rescanned "simple" ones.

Oh, duh! Quicksilver Selection. Most people set that up with “Current Application”, which is what I was thinking of. In that case, I think you just have to choose between the trigger, or being able to select by word in text entry mode.

Not globally. It would probably annoy users since I’m guessing there are some hacks that wouldn’t be possible.

I actually enabled it only in QS to right arrow in an application's menu
items.

Does QS's code base as is allow to prepend some object checking for
triggers? Just curious.

Check Catalog > Plugins, select Web Searches and click Rescan Source. Does
it solve your problem?

It’ll only work when the selection is an application, but it will run whenever you press the key combination.

When doing things via the normal interface, Quicksilver will check the type of thing in the first pane and only show the appropriate actions for it, but once a trigger is set up, you can run it any time whether it makes sense or not. This is the same principle behind the warning I gave in this second footnote.
