Quicksilver not picking alias

I have an alias created for an app and am trying to make QuickSilver remember it but I can't see to get it working.  I can browse though it in quick silver and hit enter but even after assigning abbreviation I can't get it to remember.  What am I missing?

I'm using Quicksilver ß57 (3840) on Snow Leopard, and I'm having a
problem arrowing into and moving files into Finder aliases. I can open
an alias and have the linked directory open in the Finder, but I can't
use Quicksilver to move files through an alias or arrow into it to
follow it. Is that normal behavior? I've never tried until now.

That was my question, and while it went unanswered, the problem fixed
itself for me somewhere along the way. I can't say what fixed it, but
I can say it's not a permanant bug; keep trying to get it working.

If you do find a fix, please post it here for future searchers.
