can't set a trigger

I'm using a OS 10.4 on an iMac. I'm very new to QS, but I like it.
I'd like to set a simple trigger to get new mail. I can get the mail
using QS, but when I set the trigger (getting the same panes–Mail &
Get New Mail) and try to use it, nothing happens. I had this trigger
once before, but somehow it died. So I deleted it and now I can't get
it back.

Dynamic actions that appear only for particular applications can’t be
saved as triggers, so you can’t do Mail (Get New Mail). For some of
these you can physically create the trigger but they won’t save
properly and will be broken on Quicksilver relaunch.

Thanks. Somehow, it's the little things that bug me, and knowing that
I just can't get there from here is useful.
