So, i have the same problem that the triggers won't load. The loading
thing just keeps spinning.

and i saw this from a past thread:

"Howard Melman

Triggers (and nothing else) are stored in ~/Library/Application
Support/Quicksilver/Triggers.plist
With Quicksilver not running (re)move that file and restart Qs."

but i don't have that folder!

You really ought to have that folder, since QS can't run without it.
The ~ symbol at the start of the path that Howard gave is the standard
Unix shorthand for your home folder. So if your username on your
computer is Rubeena, then ~ will stand for /Users/Rubeena. Double
check for the Quicksilver folder inside the Application Support folder
of your user Library folder.

I have what I think is a similar problem. After installing the latest
version of QS (a4), I found that Ctrl-spacebar no longer brought up
the QS box. I deleted QS, reinstalled the previous version (a3), but
i still cannot bring up QS. Typing Ctrl-spacebar only brings up a
beep now.

So basically, QS no longer works for me. How do I reinstall from
scratch please?

OHH. i was checking in the 'Macintosh HD' folder, not my home folder.
Everything works now :)

First trying double-clicking on QS's application icon in the
Applications folder. If QS is already running, this should cause the
command window to pop up. Then go into the preferences and (re)set the
invocation trigger.

If that doesn't work, quit QS, trash its application support folder,
and run it again to start from scratch.

I am having the exact same problem. I've tried uninstalling
Quicksilver (the usual Mac way, dragging to trash, and using the
"Uninstall" option within QS). I've tried to find the Quicksilver
configuration files, but haven't been able to. Only the application
itself comes up when I Spotlight-search for "Quicksilver".

"Reset preferences" does not fix it, either.

Other than Time Machine reverting my system to pre-Quicksilver, is
there another way to fully purge Quicksilver from the system so it can
be freshly reinstalled?

I am using version 3815.

The previous messages in this thread show the location of the
Triggers.plist configuration file and explain the ~ notation for your
home folder. See also the first entry in the FAQ for how to reset
Quicksilver settings.
