Firefox, Snow Leopard

I am now recently running the most recent update of Snow Leopard
10.6.2, quicksilver worked with Leopard, had lot of issues with Snow
Leopard but the forums finally helped me get it started again.

Amidst searching through the forums and search I could not produce an
answer for the following problem:

When ONLY opening URL's from the quicksilver window, it opens 2 (Two)
windows in firefox, one the firefox start page, the other the URL
typed in.

I dont know how to fix this, and couldn't find the answer on the
forums.

Any help much appreciated.

I can get similar behaviour if I set Firefox to reopen my previous
tabs and windows at launch. Setting Firefox to show either a blank
page or the home page at launch fixes the problem.
