I have QuickSilver running on my MacBook Pro. When I start the
machine, QuickSilver tries to launch, I see the QS symbol come on
screen, but then the application quits without warning.
I'm running the latest version and I am on Snow Leopard 10.6.2
I have exactly the same set-up on my iMac and it works fine.
Has anyone got any ideas why it won't launch?
I have tried removing it and re-installing it but it still doesn't
work.
Thanks
Simon
Sorry for the delay in replying.
I don't have any of those plugins you mentioned. Also, I am now
running the b57 version you suggested and it's still quitting on
startup.
Do you have any other ideas why it might be doing this? I have
deleted it and re-installed it a couple of times but it's still not
working.

1. Log out of your user.
2. Create a new user using whatever name you choose. (Give it admin
ability)
3. Log in to the new user and start QS.
This will tell you if QS is crashing due a conflict in another "start
at login" program you have running.
Sorry if you knew this already. If this does the trick at least you'll
know where to start the process of elimination.
~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/Plugins
in the finder, then drag the Plugins folder onto your desktop. Now try
opening QS again. If it opens ok you know it's one of your plugins. So
start slowly adding plugins back (from the QS plugins panel), till
one causes a crash. Then you can remove the offending plugin from your
original folder and switch it back. Hoping there was only the one
problem plugin left. A potentially long winded pain I'm afraid but if
it is a plugin causing your grief you'll get there in the end.
