firefox bookmarks: plugin not updating new bookmarks

I've used the firefox plugin to access sites in my bookmarks, but
sites that I've added to bookmarks since installing the plugin never
have appeared when I start typing their names in quicksilver. Do I
need to uninstall/reinstall the plugin, or is there a way to manually
make the bookmarks update?

You need to manually re-export your bookmark and save it as html
file. You can also change the default behavior of Firefox to save
your bookmarks when you quit Firefox.

Once I have the HTML file, how do I make QS recognize it?  The bookmarks I had set before I added the firefox plugin come up by typing the website url or name in QS, but newer ones are still not indexed.  I can open the HTML file, but I don't know how to make QS recognize and index the contents!

Do you see those in QS using Firefox Bookmark Catalogue?  If you don't then the HTML where you saved is different than where QS is looking.

Hey great, now that I moved the fresh HTML file to the proper location and replaced the old stuff, it has figured everything out!  (Now to find the firefox settings that do this automatically!)

Type about:config in the url, type auto in the filter (it is called autoExportHTML)

On my system (mac on OSX tiger) the file was in users/(me)/library/application support/firefox/profiles

I searched for "bookmarks" in Finder to discover the location of the extant file, manually exported a new .HTML file from Firefox and replaced the old one(s) with the new one.
