I have been using QS in the following workflow for some time:

1) Invoke QS via hotkey
2) Type '@' so that file '@log.txt' appears in the first pane
3) Type '<TAB>p' to cause the second pane to select the Prepend action
4) Type '<TAB>' to get to the third pane

So far, so good. This is where I am broke (and I am searching TE too
for this).

Normally I can type any of a number of abbreviations here like:

clockin
clockout
dlog

These abbreviations expand to specific strings of text, dealing with
checking in or out or logging a message. TextExpander is seeing these
abbreviations, but QS is not catching them as keystrokes, they are
going to the underlying active application.

Is there a quick / easy fix here for me?

Thanks

Are you using the new TextExpander? This seems to be an issue with
version 3, likely due to the switch from prefpane to application.
Another HUD app I use, DTerm, causes TE to send expansions to the
underlying application, just as you described.

I'm sure the TE team is on it, though you might want to shoot them an
email. In the mean time, switching back to version 2 should work
around it.

Thanks. I forgot to mention the obligatory versions:

OS X 10.6, QS b57, TE 3.0

I will apply more pressure to TE folks

SmileOnMyMac (TextExpander people) confirm the issue and that the fix
will be in 3.0.1; In the meantime I have reverted to the 2.x version.

Thanks
