A few days ago, we sent Nicholas (alcor) — the creator and original developer of Quicksilver — a few gifts.
Due to our users' generous donations to the project, we were able to get a few of the items on his Amazon Wish List, and have them sent to his house.

I personally am utterly grateful to Nicholas for the work he put into the project. Despite what he says about 'abandoning' it, he has inspired many and dreamt up ideas and philosophies that others could not have.

In his email message (below) he asked me to thank anyone who was involved in sending him the gifts. I'd like to thank everyone who is a part of this Quicksilver community. Whilst most have not been directly involved in the sending of the gifts to Nicholas, it is because of the community — and their love towards Quicksilver — why I am here today.

-----------------------------------------------

The gifts are wonderful, were totally unexpected.

I feel I owe a greater debt to you all for reviving the project and making it something people can rely on. I feel terrible for the quality of the work I left you with, but I love that you've made Quicksilver into a vital community. I hope that the feedback and contributions you have been getting from users have made all the work worthwhile.

As always, let me know how I can help your cause. And if I'm lazy about responding... make me feel guilty about it :)

Please thank anyone else who was involved. You made my day.

-Nicholas

That's great that's been done. Really. Very good and such a nice note from Nicholas too. I'm very pleased to be a tiny part of the QS community.

Thanks for making it all happen.

Sent from MiPhone.
Please excuse brevity or tpyos.
