I apologize for the basicness of this question, but for the life of
me, I can't figure it out. I think it is a simple enough thing, and
yet I can't find it in Melman's manual. I am seeking to create easy
abbreviations for my main websites. But in Melman it says that the
name must appear in the list of possible hits to be able to be
associated with a short phrase. But what is happening when, for
example, I type "amaz" and yet "www.amazon.com" does not appear in the
list of possible matches? Or when I type "intell" and
"www.intellicast.com" does not appear in the list. I am using Firefox
3.5.7. Or is there a simple way to just type a web address into the
first pane and then teach Quicksilver an abbreviation for it?
Apologies again for the cluelesness exhibited.

Tom, make sure you have the Firefox plugin activated in your plugins
list. This allows you to include Firefox bookmarks and history in your
catalog. Then activate QS and type the abbreviation you want into the
first pane. You may have to scroll down in the list in order to find
your website. Then either right-click (control click) on the item, or
click on the dot just to the left of it's name and tell QS to make
that the default for that key sequence. From now on, whenever you type
that abbreviation, that item will be at the top of the list.
