SISC is a 51Sim initiative in partnership with Camco, 51Give and the
Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy in Beijing.

The competition is designed to encourage students all over the world
to develop imaginative proposals for sustainable solutions to
alleviate climate change...

... and the winning teams will receive substantial awards that include
traveling to COP15, the United Nations Climate Change Conference in
December 2009.

Beijing-based "51SIM” is proud to announce that 36 university
finalists will compete in the "Final Round" for major prizes in the
first annual Sustainable Innovation Student Competition (SISC), a
competitive program designed to encourage students all over the world
to develop imaginative proposals for sustainable solutions to
alleviate climate change. The competition --which will begin on Nov.
2nd, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a VIP award ceremony at 4:00 p.m.
-- is open to university students throughout China, and has generated
interest from over 280 cities in China, and 30 different countries.

In the "Final Round," competing SISC finalists will pitch their
Business Plan presentations to a panel of expert judges in 3
categories: Green Transport, Energy Efficiency, and Renewable Energy.
The 12 winning individuals will receive substantial awards that
include RMB 100,000 seed funding to implement their projects, and
travel to "COP15" -- the United Nations Climate Change Conference in
December 2009.
