The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is seeking experienced professionals
to examine Midwest state-member banks, bank-holding companies and
branches of foreign banks. Responsiblities include evaluating,
interpreting and reporting risks arising from financial institutions
practices and policies.
Opportunities exist in the following areas:
-- Safety and Soundness
-- Compliance/CRA
-- Trust
-- Information Services
Requirements:
-- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
-- At least 3 years of accounting, financial, credit-analysis or
public-policy analysis experience.
-- Understanding of banking laws and regulations and the ability to
explain financial policies.
-- Examiners commission (or progress toward commission) preferred.
-- A willingness to travel a minimum of 30% of the time.
-- Federal Reserve policy requires that an examiner is either a U.S.
citizen or a permanent resident with a greencard and intent to become a
citizen.
Examiners have the opportunity to participate in continuous training
programs sponsored by the Reserve Bank and Board of Governors in
Washington, D.C.
When working at the home office, business casual attire is appropriate.
