Hi, Scott-

If you're looking to authenticate via Basic Auth, you can just curl the authentication endpoint like so:

Would anyone care to share some curl examples of using the bitly api?  I've spent the morning on http://dev.bitly.com/authentication.html but something is just not making any sense to me.

I've got a client_id, client_secret, username, and api_key.  How do I convert these into an access_key so I can call the api functions?  All i get is RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED.

Thanks for any help.

Hi, Gerardo-

Could you provide some more information about the exact way you're trying to call the Basic Auth API? Note that this is only to be usd when authenticating your *own* account with either your *own* application or the generic bitly application.

Thanks!
Matt
