Retrieving VTOC space and utilization info

Hi,
I'm trying to get the VTOC space and utilization info from a disk, but
none of the programs I normally use for disk info (VTOC, DSAT, DVOL)
can provide that. I can run IEHLIST with output to a dataset and read
that, but that is cumbersome and not very elegant.
I am looking for information about the VTOC itself, and possibly also
the VTOC INDEX.
Anyone have an idea? Have I overlooked something?

If you have MVS/QuickRef installed, it will give you this information
for the VTOC and VVDS for each volume chosen for inclusion on its DASD
free space display.

I do have Quickref, but as far as I can tell, this display gives me
freespace info for the volume, not the VTOC (FORMAT4.DSCB) itself ?
