Subject: Seattle Post Acutes
I am a medical social worker on the TBI team at UAB/Spain
Rehabilitation Center in Birmingham, AL.  We have a head injury
patient (anoxic) who could benefit from post acute rehabilitation.  I
know terminology is different throughout the U.S., so what I mean by
post acute is long term rehabilitation, possibly focusing eventually
on community re-entry.  We are a short-term, acute-care
rehabilitation center (i.e., average length of stay is 4 to 6 weeks).
Anyway, I've referred the family to places in the southeast, but they
are originally from Seattle, WA, and have extended family there, so
are interested in any post-acutes in that area.

If anyone has any information about this, I would appreciate the
help.  My personal e-mail address is boy...@src2.his.uab.edu

Thanks,

Beth Boyd, Social Services
Spain Rehabilitation Center
