Yes, an author for 3 files apparently anonymously sent ($$ = coned, windown not
= "echo chamber with window," pomes ws6 = a series of 6 pomes, some of which
are re-visions of poems previously sent to this list...i think....about 2-3
weeks ago) DOES exist, and I am he/it. (I'm American, teach literature/philo-
sophy/"theory"--the last being mainly non-sense as we know--at a university in
Taiwan, and am a relative newcomer to the list, which I enjoy very much.)
I didn't really mean to send those files unsigned like that but basically
didn't/don't know what I'm doing with my computer...i.e. I've finally, after
a month or more it seems, learned to "upload" (downloading is much easier), and
I foolishly thought I'd be given a line to sign on (subject line, etc) like you
get when you "forward" mail....Anyway, I know the story is pretty weird--does
anyone write this sort of "stream of consciousness" any more? I'm pretty much
addicted to this sort of style, perhaps too influenced by joyce/woolf/beckett &
self-conscious high (post-)modernism, ie aestheticism? Perhaps poems a bit
strange too...I'm quite influenced by pound & imagism (intellectual/aesthetic
snobbery? living in the past?) Any comments on the story or poems (pomes) are
welcome....I was planning to try to start trying to get my work published in
"little magazines" or whatever....I've been hoarding things for years, not
daring to send them out &/or too lazy....I basically have no idea how to get
things into lit mags in the usa or anywhere else...The fact that I've been
living in Asia since 1973 (Middle East & Far East)--and have never read the
New Yorker or virtually any of the other magazines that I supposedly would lkid
to send things too-doesn't help matters any. "Out of touch..." Anyway, your
list is/should/could be a big help.....Again, comments are welcome.....
