3592 standalone drives at DR Site

Hi all, We just recently started using a 3494 ATL with 3592 drives in our data center. We are also creating our DR tapes using the tape library and ejecting the tapes to send to off-site storage. At our DR site, we do not have a 3494 ATL tape library but we have stand- alone 3592 drives. I'm having trouble deciding how to best set up our DR recovery process.... more »

good practise to use CSA limit in VTAM

Hi all, One of IBM expert tell our shop to setup the CSA limit =0 in VTAM, but we found IST561I STORAGE UNAVAILABLE: CRA4 BUFFER POOL problem when one of mq server abnormal connect/reconnect to our host system. I would like to access RMF3 DDS Data Portal (GPMSERVE) XML feeds programmatically, and am having a bit of a tough time getting anywhere. I have been working on getting CA-JOBTRAC V11 implemented into our production environment. There is an internal customer asking about how many mainframe shops are running CA-JOBTRAC V11 in a production environment. Fail JCL if tape date not current month minus 1?

I'm running a job on JES2 MVS LEVEL 0807.03 z/OS V1R9 and have a job that depends on a tape feed. In my JCL I want to programatically make sure the date on the tape is the current year/month minus 1 month. If it's not then I want to fail the job. Also, keeping with the OT intent, the wait-staff also has to give a percentage of their tips to the the kitchen and bus-staff.
