VSAM CA Splits, still a performance problem? 
  Hello, In the old days,CA splits were quite detrimental to performance of VSAM applications. In today's world with lots of cache in modern DASD systems, are CA splits still a concern? CSM: Communications storage manager - what exactly does the IVTPRM00 parameter FIXED mean

  Responding to Benyamin Dissen's contention that "millicode should be way faster than open code", Edward Jaffe wrote ... This is certainly and tritely true; but, as EJ knows very well, millicode has available to it and uses other facilities that are not available to open code. CDE chain question 
  Hi Assuming, prog1 loaded and BASRd to prog2. Assume prog2 loaded and BASRd to prog3. I am now in prog3. If I were to walk from the PSA into TCB, into RB, and looked at field RBCDE1, I go into the CDE. Which of the three modules will be mentioned in the CDE? Thanks

Copy from JES2 to a file 
  How can I copy a listing from JES2 to a file. I know in JES2 I can use SE to "edit" the ouput, but I'm not good enough with SDSF to know how to save that to a file somewhere.
