I gotbelow message from HMC during performing disruptive tasks, such as 'Activate LPAR'. And I couldn't go ahead andhave to click the 'single object operation' to enter the CEC to do such kind of operations. I don't know why it happened... Do you have any idea? Thanks!
Here is the message:
The target does not have service status, but disruptive task is in service role.

The CPC icon should have a coloured background. If you click on the icon you should see a tab saying acceptable status. Does the coloured background match the Service one?
You might need to have your CE take the processor out of service mode.
Alan
I checked the SE and HMC icon color. There is only green (Exceptions). There is no 'service' color shown... Ihave noidea on it... I couldn't find any service status in SE....By the way, I'm using tree view of HMC 2.10.1..

I think it is telling you that the processor you are trying to work on is in Service Status. Have you had an engineer working on the hardware and left it in service status?

Usually service status is PINK and the lpars will generally disappear off the CPC
Images page. Its possible there is already some logged into the SE.
The easiest way to get around this is to get the SE rebooted. This can be
done from the HMC, there is an option. Or get someone to open up the cover
and reboot the SE pc. I hope this helps.
Thanks! Yes, i think restart SE is锟絫he easiest way...锟斤拷 But I锟絣ogged on锟絩emote锟紿MC锟絘nd try to restart the SE. But it's not allowed to do remotely... So锟絀 will let锟絤y锟絣ocal people to restart the SE physically.
By the way, is there any锟絯ay to锟絪ee what锟絪essions锟絜xisted锟絠n SE?

There should be an option for Tasks and Lists and that will tell you what is
active. The SE won't let you logon to it if another user is logged in to it
already.
Do you have other functionality such as accessing the 'operating system'
option or the change profile option. If they don't work, then your SE is
probably hung and its time to reboot it.

Thanks! I can logon to the SE. But currently, I can'tsee theSE directlybecause theserver is at nothercity. I need to letpeopleto check it and restart the SE... (Unfortunately, the guyis on vacation now).
By the way, I don't know why each timeI reponse themail session, there will be a duplicate lineat the top of mail body.... Is there anyone who knows that?I annoy it...
Best Regards!
