For those of you with access to the WWW, please let me know if the
following intro to the WWW needs any suggestions, corrections, etc.
******
*** Project Gutenberg Joins the World Wide Web! ***

Forshadowing accessibility over the "Communications Highway" in the
near future, the Extext project is now available through a World Wide Web
server! World Wide Web (or WWW, for short), represents the seamless
integration of FTP, Gopher, WAIS, and other network services. Without
knowledge of IP addresses, ports, and other confusing jargon, you can now
surf across the internet with the ease of pointing and clicking on a
multitude of platforms! Now, full color graphics and sound can accompany
text, files, and interactive services!

To access a WWW server, one must obtain a WWW client (reader) for their
computer. A UNIX/VAX VT100 reader is available by FTP'ing to
ftp2.cc.ukans.edu in the pub/lynx directory. Macintosh, Windows, and X
versions of the reader, called Mosaic, are available at ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu in
the Mosaic directory.

To connect to the experimental Project Gutenberg server, open the
following URL (Uniform Resource Locator) from within your WWW reader:
http://med-amsa.bu.edu/Gutenberg/Welcome.html

Suggestions, questions, and comments are welcome. Please direct them to
Evan Mair at em...@acs.bu.edu, with the Subject line 'Project Gutenberg'

Thanks,

Best Wishes For The Holiday Season!

It can be ftp'd from: ukanaix.cc.ukans.edu
The releases are in /pub/lynx

You might also try Mosaic which can be retrieved from ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu.
