Hard to believe we only had about a dozen Etexts online six years ago--
on December 10th, 1989; without the advice of my father that number may
have never reached four hundred, as it has today.  Thanks Dad!

Once again December 10th has rolled around, a day on which we celebrate
the anniversary of the death of my father, Prof. H.H. Hart, by doubling
the number of Project Gutenberg Etexts published in the past year.  The
date works out quite well for us, as we usually have to work quite hard
to get a little ahead before the holidays, as many of our volunteers do
not have any way to stay in touch during the next month, and we like to
get something out for everyone to possibly hand out over the holidays.

This year our 400th Etext is Helen of Troy, something I hope you should
enjoy as much as my father did, and we have also included some "Horatio
Alger," The Lady and the Tiger, Milton Poems, etc, all of which we hope
you will enjoy as much as he did.

Again my thanks to you all for your support.  We are note sure that the
listservers we are using now will be available to us after a month, for
this machine is being dismantled.  If you would care to make a donation
of any size to help us weather what we hope will merely be a transition
. . .we would appreciate it very much.  Our address is below.

Happy Holidays!  I hope you all have something to celebrate!

Please remember to look for these in the /etext96 directory. . .
and in the new INDEX800.GUT files.
