"Philadelphia", by all accounts, is a major motion picture, with major
Hollywood stars, and a major "hot" director. It is also supposed to be
extremely gay-positive. Personally, I hope lots of straights flock to see
this movie; in other words, I hope the "gay" aspect of it is *not*
overemphasized in the media, because that means many people will not go
see it.
Let Tom Hanks talk about being heterosexual. Why not? I talk about being
homosexual. But the important thing is getting as much gay-positive (and,
yes, gay "mainstream") culture in front of straight society as possible.
(No, this does not include RuPaul, Madonna videos, or "Men on Film.")
It's in all of our best interests.
