Your best bet is to hit up your local community. Churches, attorney
offices and other professional practice areas.
People like to see their own community flourish.
Sure, there are grants to be had; but, they have a great deal of
competition and often time is a long waiting game.
Look locally -- I think you'll be surprised at what type of funding you
can get.
A few years ago when I was working in a K-5 school we wanted a keyboard
lab (musical keyboards) for our school. I found several area business
willing to kick in $500 each to make this happen.
