Greetings! We all know that in these hard times some schools and districts
have combined the duties of librarian and technology specialist. Without
doubt this means giving up some of the good work done in each separate
position. My question is about job title. Have these new jobs been given
new titles? If you are in a district where the two positions have been
merged, I would be very grateful if you would go to this link:
http://bit.ly/lib_techjobtitles
Add your input to this Google doc.
You may recall that I asked a similar question, just related to technology
faculty job titles. The results at this point can be seen at this link. I
have not yet closed the document, so you can go and view the information
here:
bit.ly/techheadtitles
You will see NO continuity except for the recurrence of the word
"technology" in most of the job titles. If you still want to add
information to this spreadsheet, feel free to do so. It is still open for
editing. Thanks so much and Cheers, mabell
