Professional Development for Educators:
This Week at Tapped In (November 15-21)

Tapped In Learning Hub Professional Development Series - This series of
events,
which includes several introductory tours, continues through April 2010
and is
intended to provide a support system for educators who are not sure how to
integrate technology into their curriculum. Tapped In will serve as the
Learning Hub for this collaborative journey. Teachers will apply their
learning
to lesson plans and have their students reflect this learning by posting
artifacts to their Tapped In classrooms. The conclusion of the series
will be
a showcase session of these classrooms.

* TI: Learning Hub Tips and Tricks with BJ Berquist
* Math Transformers: Paper Airplanes with Patricia Chen
* Learning from Lyrics - Media literacy curriculum with Johnathan Chase

WEDNESDAY
* Targeting Librarians! Assistive Tech Hardware - Join Dr. Lesley Farmer
* K-12 Language Arts with Karen Lemmons

THURSDAY
* ePortfolios - Lynne Wolters leads discussion on using ePortfolios for
authentic assessment
* Web 2.0 Tools - Lynne Wolters shares tools you can use in your classrooms
* Teaching Teachers Forum - Join Dianne Allen if you teach, mentor, or
support
teachers, including university faculty, administration, tech coordinators,
and
lead teachers.

SATURDAY
* Religious Educators discussion with John Greenamyre
*Two Hour K-12 Collaboration Special with Jeff Cooper
* TI: Learning Hub Tips and Tricks with BJ Berquist


* TIPS AND TRICKS sessions are offered throughout the week to help both
new and
experienced Tapped In users get the most from the interface! These sessions
will also help you to become a TI: Learning Hub series participant.
