For all who want to push their digital storytelling skills: In July we're
coordinating a "new media expedition <
http://digitalcorridor.net>" to Costa
Rica.
Our goal? Digitally illustrate the ecosystems and communities in a
biological corridor that supports biodiversity in the Monteverde cloud
forest. Highly deforested and very fragmented, the "Bellbird Biological
Corridor," is a project of local conservation organizations who are working
to reforest, reconnect and support sustainable land use -- from the
mangrove forests at sea level up to the cloud forest at the continental
divide.
Would you consider coming down to learn and/or expand skills in documentary
filmmaking, photography, animation and mapmaking -- while helping local
groups use new media to network, build support and educate? Details at
http://digitalcorridor.net
We're holding an info seminar next Wed at 8pm est. Sign
up<

further details.
Be glad to answer any questions in the meantime.
