Can anyone recommend a company to which my university can outsource its
distance learning program? Either they have both the content and
the instructional design expertise. Or we give them the content and they
work with it to create an on line course. We are looking create a education
masters on line course.

Dear Dr. Wasser and EDTECH colleagues,
If all you are looking for is "the shell" - you may want to consider
myhaikuclass.com - I use this with my grad students at Chestnut Hill College
(Philadelphia) in a course "Teaching Adults Online" and you can contact them
directly for a larger scale implementation. The other LMS's (Learning
Management Systems) include Blackboard and similar companies, Wimba has some
nice products. But the content as well if it is a full online education
master's would likely include a partnership with one of the universities
already offering a full online master's in education as they can provide the
content and the expertise and the curriculum. University of Massachusetts may
be a start, I am an adjunct there as well.
Hoping some of this may help. I visited Israel in 2007 and spoke at the
Weizman Institute and also toured laptop (KATOM) schools at the time. A lovely
country.
Best regards,
Pamela

One of my clients hired ICS Learning Group (http://www.icslearninggroup.com/)
to host and set up their online courses. I believe they do instructional design
work as well. I have a contact there -- if you are interested, feel free to
email me.
