I'm sorry, Cynthia's personal address is private as she is innundated
with offers of children for the calendar.

Actually, most of the children are local -- people she meets in the
grocery store, etc.

I was talking to her last night after my original post and she said
something interesting -- that after the first calendars she noticed she
was including children that looked more "normal" --if you will excuse
the expression :-) -- and realized that wasn't what it was all about.
Now the children are nore representative of all kids with DS -- some
with more pronounced tongue protrusion, etc.

Please keep in mind that I have 3 boys with DS (2 through adoption),
each with his own individual development timetable and varying degrees
of responsiveness to therapy. Not everything can be "fixed" by our
will, our time, and our effort, and our therapies. Some kids are just
more "high-functioning" (again, pardon the expression, but it helps to
communicate) than others -- just like some of our normal kids are more
intelligent, more graceful, more athletic than others. It's only
logical.
