One of the catchiest soundtracks I've ever heard was John Carpenter's
work in "They Live." I vaguely remember other music work Carpenter's done
for his movies. Does anyone know of other such soundtracks?
Thanks,

I have the soundtrack to Halloween, which is interesting. I can't say I've
listened to it often. I bought it the second I spotted it, because I
thought it was one of those soundtracks that couldn't possibly exist, like
Wise Blood or The Long Goodbye, because it's the same melody repeated
endlessly. Actually, the variations are clever; it's a little like Phillip
Glass, but less rigorous.

Does anyone know the name of the gentleman who did the score to The
Exorcist? I know it was based on a concept album that he had done
earlier.

Also, is there a good, cheap source of Laserdiscs that anyone knows
of? I bought my first LD player over the weekend.

I know it's probably been answered already, but I haven't
typed a response today. The answer is Mike Oldfield. I recommend
buying the original album, not the sequel he put out last year.

P.S. This info came from telnet cdconnection.com and telnet cdeurope.com.
Both are an excellent source of CD's. Anyone know of such an Internet
source for laserdiscs and videos?

I thought that the music from "Escape from New York" was great!
