I poked around the site and I don't know how you could have missed the
"gangster links" at the bottom of the page. I recommend the first two,
the last one sucked. The first two had a data base of mobsters and an
actual author of gangster artcicles. I'm sure they have references.
Sorry couldn't be more help, I'm more into serial killers...heh-heh-heh.

Hi, I just saw the movie "Hoodlum" and went to the web
site it displayed (http://www.hoodlumonline.com) and found the whole mobster
the thing (the cars, guns, organization) really interesting. Can anybody
recommend some good books/documentaries on the real life mobsters that
this movie is based on or anything else during that era?

Get your hands on A&E's BIOGRAPHY of Dutch Schultz, Lucky Luciano and Bugsy
Segal -- they are very detailed and easy to watch.
